目的：生徒の課題研究の深化や検証のための調査を現地で行うとともに、東京学芸大学の協定大学であるフィリピン教育大学や現地の中等教育学校を訪問することを通して、フィリピンの現地の人々の生活や考え方を実際的に捉え、また相互の研究交流の機会を得ることで国際的に通用する課題研究の発展を促す機会とする。

訪問地と現地での活動予定
◇Colegio de Santa Monica de Angat
昨年度も訪問した学校である。フィリピンの新たな教育制度であるK-12を実施しており、従来4年間だった中等教育を6年間実施している。長い歴史を持つ学校であり、私立学校であることもあり設備はとても整っている。生徒訪問時には互いの生徒で文化交流を行い、本校生徒の課題研究テーマに従ってディスカッションを行う予定である。昨年度とは違い、事前に本校生徒の課題研究テーマを知らせ、先方の生徒にも一定の理解・関心を持ってもらった上でプレゼンテーションとディスカッションを英語で行う予定である。
◇Philippine Normal University (PNU)
昨年度も訪問した東京学芸大学の協定校であり、教員養成を専門としている大学である。現地ではPNUおよびフィリピンの教育に関する紹介と、大学生とのディスカッションを設定していただく予定である。上記の現地校同様、今年度も学生達との交流を主軸としている。本校のSGHの大テーマである「教育」にフォーカスし、日比の比較などを話題に取り上げる予定である。
◇NPO法人　ICAN（アイキャン）支援先訪問（路上の子どもたちの支援先訪問）
ICANはケソン市をはじめフィリピン各所に事務所を持つNPOであり、路上の子どもたちのサポート、ミンダナオ島における平和構築、災害支援などを行っている。昨年度は事前準備期間の関係・本校の予定した活動時間等の関係で、訪れることができなかったが、今年度は9月ごろから国内の本部と連絡をとりながら訪問のための準備を進め、実際の路上の子どもたち（ストリートチルドレン）の支援が行われている現場（センター）を訪れることに決まった。

The Outline of The Philippines Field Work 2017 by SGH

‘SGH Overseas Study—The Philippines Field Work’ is a program which provides an opportunity to encourage the further research of the students who have worked on their project studies and have applied for the SGH section of ‘ISS Challenge.’ This program contains visiting Philippine Normal University and a local secondary school, and enables students to see the life of the local people with their own eyes and learn their way of thinking practically. It also gives them an opportunity to exchange mutual research with students in the Philippines and leads them to acquire the developed and globally-acceptable study.
